One thing I semi-recently noticed I fucking hate is licensed music in films and TV shows. Guardians of the Galaxy 3 I think was what made me notice it, jesus CHRIST that was awful. Discovering new to me artists doesn't help either. There is literally 0 setting where I have any desire to listen to music, and when I have to (like at work, where I can literally pick the music, and have to cuz I'm the first person in) I don't enjoy it. Probably more so than kids today because we didn't have online and the ability to connect to our friends with a device in our pocket. We had a lot of radio listening, and MTV when it started in the early 80's, and buying albums and playing them over and over and over because we didn't have access to all music all at once like many people do now. So yeah music was a huge part of my life and still is. Not as big as when I was in school but still a big part of my life. But I'm admittedly stuck in the past. I pretty much only listen to the 50's through the 90's. Past 2000 I pretty much tuned out and just went back to all the stuff I loved from before. So I listened to their 4 other EPs and their b-side collection recently on my walks to and from work and my biggest takeaway is that I wish I wasn't listening to music in case the turkeys were back in the neighborhood.
