Your user level goes to 5 when warned so you can't access most social boards (and NGG) that require user level above provisional (above 3 karma), which is user level 15 (provisionals themselves are 10-14). That's still a thing right now. The 50 karma thing was unique to the Politics board which transferred to here before the closure.
