People should recognize they can also be a form of escapism from real life same way movies can be and that doesnt lead us to believe that all women or men should look like Rambo or Pamela Anderson. We already have our game rating systems like the ESRB, PEGI, Cero, etc. etc. As long as the game isn't breaking any rules for the age group the game is going for then that should be that. I doesn't have to be extremes when it comes to female characters.....like they are either eye-candy or well-written. Video game history's most popular female characters were just sometimes.....both for their time periods. Samus, lara craft, and jill valentine etc. (I am willing to agree that someone like tifa genuinely did get most of her fame for just being hot though. Got to call it like I see it on that one, lol. Aerith always had a good bit of popularity also but tifa definitely won out. Video games are also an artform. But a lot of these designs aren't even demonstrative of the average person. I don't live in a place known for attractive people, and I can find better looking people out and about without trying than are in some games.
