I forgot about that game, watched a playthrough back in the early days of YouTube, seemed like a revolutionary concept for its day

The lead programmer had a mini-interview in an episode of the Angry Video Game Nerd where he stated that they thought a boob tattoo would be a clever way to have a life indicator without any additional information on the screen.

That's probably the *only* reason the game had a busty protagonist with the ability to randomly look down at her own chest. <_<

This game features no HUD. Anne's health is represented by a heart-shaped tattoo on her breast that the player can look down to. The ink of the tattoo is filled in depending on the amount of damage she has taken; when it is filled completely and a chain appears around it, Anne dies. Anne's health regenerates quickly over time as long as she does not take further damage. To track weapon ammunition without a HUD, players must rely on Anne verbally describing weapons she picks up, and she weighs the weapon in her hand and says phrases like "About eight shots", "Feels full" and "Hasn't been used", along with verbally counting down ammunition as she fires a weapon.

Sounds terrible.

I respect the desire to go HUD-free, but I think they made a mistake in having her verbalize how many shots she has.

If I recall correctly, there's no full model for that character. So she's just a floating pair of boobs and an arm.

Most FPS games don't bother to fully model their player characters

Pretty sure James Bond in 'GoldenEye' is just a hand, his model only shows up cutscenes

Yeah, I figured it was like that. Just found it amusing that this character is just floating boobs and arms.

It's actually an awesome little thing if done properly like in the Peter Jackson's King Kong game. That game seemingly took the interesting ideas of Trespasser and ran with them
