I just beat the Unova Elite Four. After I beat N and Ghetsis, should I play the postgame? I didn't do the Battle Tower in Ruby.

I just did BW1's postgame for the first time ever on Monday!

There's not a whole lot to it, especially with wifi gone. If you wanna complete the national dex, a bunch of older gen pokemon are in eastern Unova.

A couple new legendaries to catch, higher leveled E4 with an actual Alder battle, new superboss, finding the remaining six sages for Looker and diving into an ancient castle underwater for Arceus' plates and some treasures.

Can all be done in a few hours, but the levels for trainers jump to the mid 60s immediately so you might need to grind.

I'd say it's a lot more skippable than BW2's, but that's really the case for most first entries of a generation.

Oh, if you want to bring Tornadus, Thundurus or Landorus into BW2, you do need to catch them in BW1 unless you bought that Dream Radar game to catch them in

As short as BW1's postgame was--especially with Black City/White Forest now completely useless without Wifi (unless you have local players to connect with)--I can still appreciate that it at least still had a postgame, unlike Scarlet/Violet, which doesn't even have a Battle Tower or equivalent.
