Sounds about right. That price is probably based on a newer, more expensive starter.

I've replaced a starter on a newish Honda Accord and it wasn't that bad. I'm not a very good mechanic but it was a simple bolt on part. I remember it was dusk and the biggest problem was having my Wife shine a dim flashlight in the engine bay so her car would be ready for work in the morning. But we were poor then, these days I wouldn't think twice about paying only $100 in labor to have a professional get it done. ... Copied to Clipboard!
