At home in Canada, yes. Our only local pizza place is an obvious front for organized crime.

In the US I prefer to try the local places.

Local. I might get a chain every once in a while but rarely ever. There's like 15 local places in my surrounding area and even the least of them is better than any of the chains.

all the local places here are stupid expensive, so i just order Dominos or Freshslice.

i'm not gonna say the local places are bad, because i have had some of them and they were amazing but i'm not paying double or triple on the reg.

basically this. If I just want some cheap, greasy eats it's Domino's all the way. If I want to splurge and spend $15 on a personal size pizza (of which I can eat two), I'd go to my favourite local place.

I exclusively order locally. I HATE fake/fast food pizza.

I want good pizza, I get local. If I want cheap pizza, I get chain.

Yeah kinda if it Caesars. I dunno how Domino's was good enough after the early 2000s to keep branching world wide. Not even that good of a pizza chain.

Local if I'm up for throwing the money down. Otherwise its Little Caesars.

I never eat that crap. Frozen pizza I get from sprouts is better than fast food pizza. If I'm getting pizza from a restaurant it's a nice place.

I don't really order out much, but the one time I've tried a local place I didn't like it at all.
And whenever I've had pizza from random places through work events for example, I've never really liked them either.

I tend to order from Pizza Hut because I can get it cheaply and conveniently. But I would usually rather go for a slice or two at a local place than order a whole pizza so that happens more often.

Chains. Only one local place around here, its better than Dominoes but thats about it. And thats not a particularly high bar to clear anyways. Pizza Hut all the way for where im at.

Yeah its annoying. The owner always has his Range Rover parked right at the front entrance, they have no hostess 90 % of the time and whether the food is good or not is a massive gamble.

Its obviously a front of some kind. Local restaurant owners typically dont drive 300 K SUVs from pizza profits.

Pizza Hut and Papa Johns are cheaper and more convenient than my local place while still being pretty tasty, plus I get a free pizza every once in a while from their rewards programs. The local place does taste better and I get it sometimes as a rare treat, but it's not so much better that it's worth the higher price and longer delivery times on a consistent basis.

Ive tried Dominos over here and its not great. Pizza Hut is insanely expensive here and I doubt its good so Ive never bothered with that.

Theres a few local pizza places I really enjoy, though some of them are local chains.

I also find it strange that some are claiming that the local places are more expensive. Ive never found that to be the case.

been a while since i've ordered pizza but a local place had a large edge to edge pepperoni pizza for $10

National, more out of convienence than anything. I've had a lot of pizza delivery jobs, so its usually easy to get pizza from work. I've also moved every few years, so I tend to just go to places like pizza hut which i'm familiar with than look for new places.
