There is some work, probably orchestral, where members of the choir will hide in the audience so that when the chorus begins the singing will unexpectedly surround the audience to add surprise or impact. I imagine there's probably a few that do this, but I'm looking for a specific one. Does anybody know of any examples of this? I probably saw it on a Youtube comment once six years ago or something, but it's bugging me I can't think of what it was for

No, it's something done more or less professionally, and I knew the song first; the choir thing was incidental that i found out later

That kind of flash mob choir has been done a number of times.

I just put "choir flash mob" into YouTube and found a bunch of different videos. Do you remember the song or location to help narrow it down?
