Preferably in-person with people you haven't met. It's fun and a good way to meet people.

I was expecting at least one person to recognize it. It's a betrayal social game similar to mafia or werewolf. Dead people are still part of the game, and everyone has a special ability. Tokens are drawn at the beginning for roles. One killer (typically), the Demon, and his minions make up the evil team. They start of knowing who is the demon and who are minions. The good team consists of townsfolk with useful abilities to combat evil or learn who is good or evil, and outsiders who generally have abilities that work against the good team. They don't know whose team anybody is on unless they get an ability that let's them know. Up to 20 people in one game, after 15 people have to be travellers, who are assigned to a team and assigned a character who can leave at any time of the game.

Been playing it a bunch at meetups lately.

I have this game, fancy Kickstarter version. Not sure it'll ever get played though.

I like playing that game with my friends. There was a hilarious moment when one of them misunderstood his role that let him make someone else a demon. So he made me a demon, not realizing that I was still considered good, which meant the townsfolk got a guy who just had free reign to murder at night lol.

Some neighbor friends of mine have mentioned it to me. They love playing it. I'm not so great at party games and I have no idea what kind of game it is though.

It's not a party game. It's a role playing game.
