I would like to know about this legendary board.

It was no luelinks

I used to have a a luelinks account on two occasions

one was in 2008 I had a friend in real life that let me share his account

another was in 2017-2021 that a a CEman gave me but I asked to be banned. It wasnt that great tbh

Take the most chaotic day you can remember while browsing CE and imagine that every day was like that except there are so many people that a front page topic would fall to page 2 in less than a minute.

I would imagine it's a different board than it used to be considering that the average age has to be older than 33 now

the afrochicken predicted the Virginia tech shooting the same day it happened on that board. That was fuckin insane.

They got locked, because they raided a dead girl's social media page. She had committed suicide and LUE posted her page with horrific stuff to torture her family. I don't know how the dead girl got on their radar though

The two boards were always very similar. It's why most everyone from LUE moved here when that board got locked. But that was 20 years ago so even people that have been on CE for a long time might not remember what it was like back then.

Its like tenth spinoff is pretty active and the administration/mod staff have done a great job of discovering and banning bad people

I remember it actually being remotely sane in the very early ages. I'm pulling from like 2001-2002 though so my memory could be hazy on it, and it obviously didn't last terribly long like that.

At it's heights, it was amazing.

I remember this zombie game, I think we ruled it for a while.

yeah it was pretty fun. there were tons of storylines going on, people had their own drama. they were able to bond together and get a lot of things happening. i was mostly a luerker but it was a good time. back in the day, ce was seen as childish and chaotic with no real bond. lue was pretty united, despite all the internal conflicts and trolls like darkcobra taking a lot of the spotlight.

It was toxic as shit, I used my account status and access to create an account on a spin-off website that was ten times as toxic (though at least in the early days there were some fun things there, like the LUEfo hoax, Super Mario Tennis and watermelons, iykyk) and I spend literally two full years of my life (if you were to go off the user statistics page) on that community being a total loser and then that got shut down a year or so ago.

I was trying to spare the feelings of the poor unworthy wretches who don't have access to LUE. Now they all know about the awesome content that they're missing out on because you can't be bothered to share them with us here.

I remember with my first account, halo is cool, made when I was 12(hehe broke the rules) I managed to sign up for LUE pre lockdown just before it was closed off to new users forever. Even though I barely posted I wanted lurk access.

then I got that account banned a few weeks later(for bumping a topic to reach 500 posts too much lol) and made this new one in '05 at 13. But LUE was never accessible for me again

Lol that there's a user called fartbello. I have a friend IRL who's surname is Arbelo and I call him fartsmello.

When it was active, LUE was basically a less extreme version mid to late 2000s 4chan. So lots of chaos, lots of immaturity, lots of angry flame wars, and lots of dumb shitposting.

Nowadays it's got way fewer people and everyone is old. So there's still dumb shitposting, but not as much and the board is very chill overall. One thing I do like is that there are very few bigots there anymore. The vast majority have gotten themselves banned years ago, and the few that remain know they will just make fools of themselves and be mocked/reviled by almost everyone, so they rarely post their bullshit anymore.

I remember RoLUE on Ogame, it was by far the biggest alliance/guild that game had ever seen at the time.

i was newish at gamefaqs when i heard about it because of all the fuss about it closing and you have to register or something to still be able to access it. i wish i did, people always talk about how crazy it was.

Yes, you are correct. It only started to become less serious later into 2001 or so, and then a LOT less serious after a few RIers, bitter over the Gamequeen incident, drove a sizable percentage of RIers off of their board with their toxicity.

It wasn't long after that that Random Insanity's activity took a nosedive (though it was still quite active) and LUE's skyrocketed. Prior to the Gamequeen incident, RI was almost as popular as CE.
