The theme is based on sheet music. The lines on a musical sheet are called the staff. The items listed are things that can be found on the staff, thus staff members.

To be fair, I too struggled with this one. It wasn't until I found clef that it clicked for me.
Yeah, no way in hell was I getting that one.

Like I said, I only remember her from the Cinderella movie. And even that was due to the novelty of Victor Garber and Whoopi Goldberg having a Filipino son.

And huh, fun fact. I looked it up just now and Brandi's Cinderella and that guy's Prince Charming are actually reprising their roles in an upcoming Disney Channel movie. One of the Descendants movies about the kids of Disney characters.

Had no idea what the theme was until I got the spangram. Especially since I got seal first then common. The only ones I've never heard of are Jewel and Meat Loaf. I know Brandy from her actual music and playing Moesha. She's also Ray J's sister.
