I can't count how many times I've heard this story: Gets hired for a new job, shows up for orientation, everything is ok, Day 1 they learn their job is not what they signed up for, their equipment is inadequate and their expectations are ludicrous.
Companies lie all the damn time to get people to come work dangerous or inadequately staffed positions and then throw them away if they don't meet their standards in an instant. Meanwhile, a person has to quit their previous job with the promise of an increased standard of living only to realize that they are now stuck in their new abusive job until they find a better one. Companies leverage their monopoly on wealth to ensure that individuals are reliant on them and cannot easily escape. It's literally abuse. If an individual did this, it would be a crime. It is a crime. You can't just lie to people under false pretenses to manipulate them to do what you want but businesses can just do that because that's how absolutely fucked the system is. --- Bioshock gave us a fictional world showing why libertarianism doesn't work.
