Dreamt that my Father was still alive and I was to visit him in the hospital or meet him there after he had visited me at home.

But I needed a ride to get there, and instead of me being to make it while visiting hours were open, I was waiting on my acquaintances so long, people I knew in high school, it certain family member. Dealing with their problems or then taking to long to just drive me to see my Father I missed the visitation hours.

And I'm the end I was better of getting an Uber where I would have been able to see him getting their myself if I had done that.

It's really messed up because my Father passed in 2010 and the dream was vivid and it felt like he was really with me and we were enjoying spending time together for the time that I did experience when he was at my house. My Mother was with me as well at the house when we were spending time together in the dream. She has passed in 2018. They both took a ride with a family friend or elder relative to the hospital where my Father was to get back to for inpatient care. And I was supposed to go with them but was held up with doing things related to other people, and that's how I wound up being held up so long that I just missed everything. The dream really sucked but in the dream it opened my eyes to the people in the dream not giving a damn about me, not enough to put aside whatever issues they had to make just getting me from point A to point B for that small period of time a priority.

I'm happy I had the dream because for the time I did spend with my parents it felt vivid. But it's a somber feeling waking up and realizing that it was a dream and not reality

I hate dreams.

Expected a "messed up dream" to mean you had a dream that's unpleasant but does not constitute as a nightmare.

Yeah it's not a nightmare at least. I don't get those a lot thankfully

sounds powerful. i would say it's great that you got to feel that feeling again, even if it was just a dream. reminds us who we are but also keeps us in check.
