Never played any Tekken. Was always a SF, or Blazblue guy.

How much is locked behind DLC? How much single player content is there? Is online just vs matches, or is there fun stuff like SF6?

Yes. The tutorials and training/practice modes go out of their way to teach you how to play.

You can set simple controls where you can just mash the buttons to make cool stuff happen. Makes the main story mode basically a cake-walk. You might even get lucky and win a few online matches.

The secondary story mode where you make an avatar, basically all the early "chapters" and "objectives" are thinly veiled tutorials that show you the basic fundamentals, step-by-step. I was like, this mode is for babies, so it's prolly really friendly to anyone who's never played Tekken before.

That actually sounds nice for me. Tekken always looked pretty intimidating.

Yeah, there's a whole secondary story mode that not only teaches you everything, but actually has "Tekken can be enjoyed by anyone" as its main theme.
