They call it a "space station", which is honestly a bit of a misnomer because that'd imply it'd be "stationary", which it is not. That said it's all contextual based on the vessel's function, when you think about it. It's not really meant to ferry people from one place to another. It's meant to just be self-sufficient, which is what you tend to think of when you think of space stations.

Starlight Beacon from the High Republic era is also referred to as a space station, despite it being able to travel via hyperspace.

As I recall the Death Star's engines are quite small given the vessel's size. It mostly relies on traveling through hyperspace and using the gravitational pull of other celestial bodies (ie. entering orbit). Considering it doesn't have to get close to its target, I guess that makes sense.
