You know what I think happened is that these companies saw orange is the new Black's overwhelming success and thought well that show is just female Oz and it became super popular for Netflix, maybe we could do "all female cast" to a bunch of properties. Without realizing what made the show so entertaining and popular back then (smart, funny, overwhelmingly in-your-face sex scenes with kimiko glenn, etc) Well either that or mad Maxine: furiousa road ...
