Misdreavus, Magnemite and Magneton are all good though. If you want to make a case for it being better than Gen II Dragon, fine. But those two rosters are at least without duds.

Cottonee and Whimsicott are better than those three, but not better than Kingdra.

Yesterday's match into overtime as both Gen I Fire and Gen III Grass proved they deserved to make it to the semifinals. After a back and forth battle that ended in a 19-19 tie vote at the end of twenty-four hours, another day was given, this time providing a solid winner to the match-up. By a vote of 24-22, Gen I Fire makes it into the final round, where it will face the winner of Gen III Psychic vs. Gen I Flying.

And we close out the semi-finals with Gen I Flying taking out one last opponent (it's strongest yet, really...but not strong enough). Yes, unlike the razor-thin margins of our first semi-final, this one was never really in doubt after a certain point, and by a vote of 23-18, Gen I Flying beats Gen III Psychic once and for all to secure a spot in the finals. Now, we're down to just Gen I, and we're going to find out who reigns supreme: Charizard and Moltres...or Moltres and Charizard.

And we have our winner. I was not expecting the finals to be a blowout, yet I guess it was inevitable when one side just had so much sheer diversity compared to the other (which I will admit, while it has high tier Pokemon across the board...there's almost no variety among them, and I imagine a lot of people are less inclined to love a bunch of those lines compared to picking and choosing). Anyway, by a final score of 36 to 20, Gen I Flying reigns supreme and takes home the crown over Gen I Fire, earning its title as the BEST type roster of ANY generation of Pokemon.

Final Prediction Results:

Inviso - 37 (Gen I Fire over Gen III Dragon)
MNK - 29 (Gen I Water over Gen I Fire)
Johnbobb - 11 (Gen I Ground over Gen III Steel)

Ultimate Loser:

Gen I Flying > Gen I Fire > Gen III Grass > Gen V Fire > Gen I Poison > Gen VI Fairy > Gen II/V Fairy

Deserved winner tbh even if there were a lot of dodgy results throughout. Can't complain overall!

Gen 1 Flying is a great lineup, it might not be the most interesting winner but I can't complain. And it's nice to see a win for bird pokes. Thanks for running this, Inviso!

If it had to be Gen I, Flying is at least one of the better winners. It's no Water, but it's a very strong line up.
