and by MPDGs I mean the manic pixie dream girls. It seems like something happened to them around like, 2009 and the numbers have just been dwindling ever since. You don't even see them in media anymore. Back when I was in high school there were so many of them, they loved to get their derp on and act random, rawr like a dinosaur even. I lent one my copy of johnny the homicidal maniac and she never gave it back. :v i wonder where she is right now...

There's not many, if any my age now, so I don't tend to interact with any of them, but I see them pretty frequently, either IRL or online. One of my cousin's daughters has moved towards this style, as well as one of my friends' daughters.

I don't think MPDGs have largely contributed to male loneliness, but it certainly could be attributed to unrealistic expectations with dating and partners.
