I recently had to take Prednisone, a steroid, for a while, and Ive noticed some unexpected changes. Has anyone else experienced this? Since starting Prednisone, Ive been putting on weight like crazy. Its been a rollercoaster, and honestly, Im feeling a bit frustrated. I know steroids can cause fluid retention, but this feels beyond that.

Oddly enough, Ive also gained some muscle. Now, Prednisone isnt exactly known for turning people into bodybuilders, so this has me scratching my head. Even it is a steroid it not that kind.

I took it for a few days after I was really sick and was told it would likely increase my appetite. It did not do that at all and I ate like I normally do.

Prednisone is known for weight gain. Also, for science reasons I don't understand it usually makes specifucally your face and tummy fatter, which sucks. I had a close friend that was on it for awhile and she absolutely hated what it did to her body in those respects.

I am trying to hit my work out harder to make up for it. I cut back on cardio since I could not walk. But since I am walking again I am going back in full force. And I am cutting down my intake. No more then 500 Cals. I have to get back to my downward trend .

Prednisone was prescribed every day of my chemotherapy schedule. All 30 days. I got a bunch of the side effects. It can REALLY mess with your head!

This stuff is not worth it. Like looking at those side effect I can see myself hitting so other one of those besides weight gain. I am going to the foot doctor this week and I am going to tell them point blank. I need to walk again. I have to keep boxing and I can't take that shit that makes me fat and messes with my mind.
