Disney has set the Tron: Ares release date for the Jared Leto-led sequel to the sci-fi movies Tron and Tron: Legacy.
A press release that was sent out by Disney earlier today revealed when the latest film in the Tron series will be released in theaters. The film will premiere on Friday, October 10, 2025 nearly 15 years after Tron: Legacys release on December 17, 2010.

Joining Jared Leto are After Yang actor Jodie Turner-Smith, Past Lives breakout Greta Lee, Golden Globe winner Gillian Anderson, Emmy winner Evan Peters, Shameless alum Cameron Monaghan, and Yellowjackets star Sarah Desjardins. Leto will reportedly play the titular character a manifestation of a program that becomes sentient and crosses over into the human world
