Once.
I had been drinking beer all day at a party. That night someone brought wop. It tasted so good after drinking beer all day. I was chugging it. My friends tried to slow me down, but I thought I could handle it. I could not handle it. I was dry heaving until the afternoon the next day.

Yes. Mostly in college, a few times. Maybe once after?

Constant vomiting. Eventually you start just dry heaving. You vomit a bunch, feel better, then slowly degrade back into vomiting. Lasts all day. Trying to drink water doesn't work, trying to eat doesn't work. But throwing up something is better than the dry heaves, good god.

I've never even blacked out. Alcohol makes me feel really bloated and gross, so I tend to stop before I ever get to that point. These days I don't drink at all

I haven't, but I have been roofied before. Worst few days of my entire life. I went to a bar to meet up with a girl I'd been talking to. Ordered a drink, she did too, and then we both were idiots and went outside for a smoke.

I remember going inside, taking a sip, smiling at her and then waking up in the hospital two days later. Just like that. As ridiculous as it sounds, it was sheer teleportation. Blink, and her face is replaced my hospital lights.

Unreal amounts of Xanax in my system. Wallet emptied, my debit and credit card were run to the max at the same bar (Stolen by whoever drugged me, I imagine.) my expensive prescription glasses were nowhere to be found and one shoe was gone. I never quite heard how it all went down, because I never heard from her again. In time, I suspected she did it and robbed me.

I'm 42 and have never had alcohol before. My cousin (also my age) almost died to alcohol poisoning just a few weeks ago.

I came as close as I possibly could on my 21st. I was throwing up and dry heaving all day afterwards from everclear, and didn't stop until 7 at night.

it's very different from being hung over? yeah maybe most people drink more during their time in college than any other?

Oh yes. I don't recall actually feeling physically unwell, until the sickness would come back. Hangovers are typically just headaches, exhaustion, maybe a throw up. But constant, constant vomiting is your body actively rejecting what you did to it which is what I would think is the poisoning. I eventually figured out smoking fixed it up cause hey, can't vomit if you're hungry as hell. That would do the trick almost every time.

Glad I don't do that anymore.

Kinda

The worst was when I drank around 8 to 10 shots in a row. Then had a few more beers (maybe like 2?). I'm a super lightweight fyi!! I lasted about 2 hours before the cloudiness, vomiting, and passing out occurred.

The events of that night that i remember:

drank the shots in a hotel room in a resort ---> go to the strip club with friends (they'd bring back a stripper to the room later) for like an hour ----> I throw up in the strip club parking lot ---> quick whatburger trip (I did not finish my meal I was dizzy and dumb at this point) ---> back at hotel i start throwing up A LOT off the balcony---> pass out on the couch. I remember waking up briefly to hear the stripper complain about the tips. Go back to sleep

I left in the morning with a headache and my skin felt funny (like numb I guess).

*this happened in 2017

Honestly maybe this wouldn't be alcohol poisoning since I remember most of that night and my symptoms weren't that bad the next morning.. I'm pretty sure i went to the beach a few hours later after a Tylenol for the headache. . But still I did throw up A LOT I can't believe I had that much in me.

I did once in college. Had to get taken to the hospital to have my stomach pumped, the whole thing. I had been a moderate drinker for a while before then with a pretty high tolerance, but I had never had Vodka or much hard liquor before. I didnt understand that I was overdoing it until it was too late.

It is so important for young folks who go out drinking to do so with a group of people they trust, and that someone else knows where they are. I got myself in trouble that night, but my friends had my back when things went wrong. And I did that for a few other people.

Nothing wrong with fun, but it is also important to build in some safeguards just in case.

My dude, what you're describing sounds less like alcohol poisoning and more like withdrawal.

Yeah, there's vomiting as well, but in a very different way and with a host of other symptoms.

Probably came close once or twice as a teen, but no. Nowadays I can't even get drunk anymore because I fall asleep before it gets to that point
