That tornado warning is on its way to Springfield, if not just north of it. Apparently there's no confirmed wall cloud, it was issued based strictly off of rotation on radar.

We decided to bring our youngest in our room for the night.
We got some supplies together and into the basement and told the older kids the plan on what to do.
Hopefully it's all for nothing, but rather be prepared.

And Springfield is tornado warned. What they're showing on the local news is it goes right to the county line. While I was typing that a tornado HAS been confirmed around ash Grove which northwest of Springfield. If any CE fam around there GET TO SHELTER and stay safe!

Dang, that thing seems to be headed right towards Springfield if not just a little north.

Yep, Northside is gonna get it. Namely around the zoo and the fairgrounds, and just down Kearney in general.

And another radar indicated tornado to the north headed right at Fair Grove. It's unlikely any CE fam is there but still, if there is get to shelter. Oh shit, it's described as a large confirmed twister on the ground heading there.

Looks like the Springfield one possibly spun itself it out.

Yeah, I'm fine. I'm around the downtown/MSU campus area in SGF, and all we've gotten here so far is rain and maybe a little bit of wind.

I have an aunt and cousins who live in Lebanon, so I'll definitely be watching that storm over there. It just had a warning put on it.

That's good. The Fair Grove tornado warning just got extended up to Conway. Wondering if the tiny ass price cutter there will make it through.

Yeah I saw that when I went back to the tab with the KY3 stream. They showed their cam up there and the power went out in downtown. Not sure if tornado/high winds caused or the rain is just that thick.

looks like the rain was just that thick. i watched their lebanon cam and as the rain eased up the power was still there.

I drove back from Joplin one night in the middle of severe weather. As soon as I got onto James River freeway and started driving away from it, the storms just became weaker and weaker the closer I got to Ozark.

Looks like I'm boned here in Ohio tomorrow.

We're pulling for you buddy. Looks like the worse of it is over for my region. Some cells moved in from Oklahoma and are getting here now. Still have an active tornado watch going so still going to keep an eye on things.

The opposite. The roads are where they are because millenia of storms eroded the land into being the right shape.

Hmm. Thats mainly the path the Eclipse is taking next Monday too.

They dismissed school early today. That basically never happens. I think this is probably only the second time in the last 20 years or so.
Storms are still a few hours away right now, and it is actually super nice out at the moment.

Yeah, my wife called me earlier and said school was sending kids home early. Shortly after that my boss called a meeting for all the supervisors and told us to send employees home and also to contact 2nd and 3rd shifts to tell them not to come in.

Which is something that never happens, or at least I've never seen that happen.

They canceled all after school activities and dismissed the school early today.
And then we got maybe 20 minutes of hard rain.

There were sirens for like an hour but nothing happened

some damage in pulaski county and the high school in fair grove got a bit messed up, but nothing too crazy.
