Whatever you choose will kill the chance of a remake for the rest of them.

It will be a proper remake. Not an HD remaster, not a fan project. We're talking something on the level of the Resident Evil 2/4 remakes. Something that captures the spirit of the original but uses all the powers of modern technology and game design.

I still wish the custom magic system of Morrowind would be used in the modern Elder Scrolls series. Absolutely game breaking, but so much fun.

I never played it, but I remember how broken Oblivion's magic system was, and how much that was nerfed in Skyrim.

Half Life 1 already has an excellent remake.

I picked Chrono Trigger btw. I really like FF7 R and R, so I'd love a CT in that kinda style.

I... want to say Chrono Trigger, but I don't want it to be an action game. And it would. It absolutely would.

I guess I'd go with Morrowind in that case. Having the jank removed but retaining that freedom to break things and the carefully crafted (and not fucking level scaled or procedurally generated) world map would be great.
