With UBI:
-People will be willing to take more financial risks. If you are working a job you hate, you are more likely to quit and start your own business knowing that even if you fail, you will still have UBI -UBI should not be available to inmates. This gives a financial incentive to abide by the law and dramatically reduce the social and financial costs of crime. -We already spend a fuckton on welfare programs anyway. UBI would streamline everything and make dispersion of funds more efficient. -Depending on how automation develops, we may eventually need it anyway -Financial insecurity has huge physical and mental costs. UBI would alleviate some of it. -??? --- Ask me anything about big cats. ... Copied to Clipboard!
