Per below, the NY Post claims that Jon Stewart overvalued his penthouse by 829%. Sounds terrible, right?

Of course, theyre hoping you dont actually read the article.

In 2014, Stewart sold his 6,280-square-foot Tribeca duplex to financier Parag Pande for $17.5 million. The propertys asking price at that time is not available in listing records.

But according to 2013-2014 assessor records obtained by The Post, the property had the estimated market-value at only $1.882 million. The actual assessor valuation was even lower, at $847,174.

Thats right, folks. The NY Post is claiming that Jon Stewart committed fraud byfinding someone to buy his property for more than the appraised value. If thats a crime, then that means yours truly amongst millions of Americans have committed fraud these last couple of years by selling our homes for higher than market value.

Of course the NY Post doesnt actually believe Stewart committed fraud. Theyre just trying to make it sound like what Trump did is very legal and very cool and not a big deal at all.
