Now when I pause a video or leave it on the main page on my Roku TV, it loads a fuckin' screensaver after like a minute which is already mildly annoying. Moreso when it's not on a video because the screensaver is screenshots from whatever bullshit they want to put up.

And now I went to unpause the video and it just doesn't do that because it's instead shrunk the video down and filled the remaining space with an ad for Disney+. Had to click a second time.

Y'all aren't smart for knowing about adblock, I'm aware of it and use it on my computer and phone.

I 100% agree. It is my most watched video site by far, but I absolutely refuse to pay for it solely out of spite.

Auto refresh is the worst part of the screensaver on Xbox (losing the video you're planning to watch)

But they seemed to have disabled the saver or I somehow figured out how to when I was effed

To filter out youtube ads, visit one of these sites using your TV's browser:
1.) https://poketube.fun/
2.) https://piped.video/
3.) https://yewtu.be/

They are open source websites that sit between you and youtube, fetching youtube videos while filtering out the nasties.
