A kb is a kb. A mouse is a mouse. Works the same at $20 than it does at $100.

I'm sorry but even in 2024 it's a ridiculous argument to say that PCs are as easy to set up. No they fucking aren't. Don't lie bro.

Yeah, consoles have updates. Updates that are 100% optimised for that console only, meaning you press a button and wait (or don't even press the button).

The reason PCs are better is because they are flexible. You can configure them, optimise them. This is also fundamentally why they are less robust.

You can't tell me that something is more flexible and more customisable and also tell me that it's easier and more stable. That is nonsense.
Honestly, modern PCs are pretty darn simple for the end user. My games and drivers all update in the background just like on the consoles. Any remotely recent games just work out of the (digital) box. Controllers require no additional setup and the prompts in game match the controller buttons. They even work fine wirelessly. Unless you're playing some pretty old games (which aren't even an option for the non Xbox consoles) then the experience is effectively identical, just with different looking but equally functional user interfaces.

From 8th gen onwards, I'd say that PC got rid of many of the issues with PC gaming while consoles lost many of their conveniences. Today, I'd say the only real advantages consoles have are the lower entry price and the PS5 exclusive features on the Dualsense are pretty neat for gimmicks.
