my point is once its handed to you it doesnt matter what happens to it you arent entitled to more because you decided to drop it on the floor

You're right but there have been times they will just make you another burger, especially if they saw that it was an accidental drop with their own eyes. Happened to me one time I dropped some fries in McDonalds. It's better for McDonalds waste some time/money so that they won't lose a potential costumer in the future.

Nope I've never done this. I've seen other people do that and get replacements though.

When I was a kid however I dropped my icecream from the icecream truck as he was driving away and dude actually drove all the way around the block to give me a free replacement because I was the one kid who would always say thank you and be polite. He was a cool guy.
