I believe it was 95, although I can't remember when the switch from 95 to 98 happened. It could have been 98 as far as I know.

I am sure I've used 3.1 but at home the first windows I had was 95, then ME and I think each version after that.

The first version I used regularly was 3.1 on my grandpa's computer. First computer my family owned had 95.
