I might be spending 10+ hours on a train this weekend. Please recommend me a mobile game to help pass the time.

Don't mind a premium game, would probably prefer that to something designed around micro-transactions.

Edit: I have an android.

Fate/Grand Order. While it IS a gacha game, it's extremely free-2-play friendly. And more to the point, it's got a nice long story.

What about Kairosoft, have they released anything noteworthy the last half decade?

More of the same. Wouldn't say anything is noteworthy. They're like EA Sports releases.

I recommend Witchspring, there's 4 games but you should start from the beginning because it's a long interconnected story and not only will future games spoil earlier ones but going backwards is very difficult. It'll be easier to play Witchspring 1 when you don't know what you're missing.

The first two games put together can probably give you about 10+ hours of play unless you really drag your feet.

Check out whats on Play Pass, its very similar to Apple Arcade and quality ratio wise that blows console stores and Steam out of the water.

Ehhhh....

I've been subscribed to play pass since day 1 and the only thing that makes it worth is the games are free. The quality is definitely not better on average than Steam.

Mini Metro and Final Fantasy Dimensions. The first is great on the phone due to how well the controls work on the touch screen, while the latter is just a full FF that is phone-exclusive. If you have a tablet, or are fine with the small screen (I was, but it's up in the air) Overboard is also good.

Theres some shit mixed in, but the difference is that the true shit on mobile isnt on Pass and Arcade, its on the regular stores. On Steam and the console stores all the garbage is mixed in without curation.

Steam has a pretty good algorithm that does a decent enough job of filtering out "true shit" unless you deliberately go looking for it.

I don't think so. Game Dev Story is the only one that I could remember. Try Game Dev Tycoon if you haven't already:

My first suggestion would be The House of Da Vinci series. The Room series is great too.

What's your preferred genre TC?

Yeah that's definitely not a 10 hour game.

I'll recommend two. Two that I played for literal years killing time at work, were free, and I never had to spend a penny on to make progress or feel like it was ever needed.

The Tribez (the original game) Awesome building village game that is so fun. I have actually restarted and played a couple times over the years. Truly a great game.

Hay Day. A farming game that I found really fun and to this day it receives updates and support. It's been around since 2012 and was one of the first big games for SuperCell. Really fun to me but I like farming games.
