I enjoyed 1 and 2. I still haven't played 3 because I already know that it barely advances the story and ends on another cliffhanger. I'm mad they didn't take this chance to wrap everything up. There will probably never be a shenmue 4 ... Copied to Clipboard!

There will probably never be a shenmue 4 Suzuki had this plan of (X) amount of chapters from the start and he was just starting where he left off, but it definitely didn't feel like a good idea to continue with what is basically "You spend time with Shenhua", especially with redoing and half baking the combat. --- "You're made of spare parts, aren't ya, bud?" ... It truly felt like a next-gen experience at the time and the release was so huge to me that I willingly sat-down and dedicated my full attention and a large amount of patience to the experience, so I didn't mind the fact that it was really a slog at times. Being immersed in the world made all the difference, especially when you're distracted by marveling at all the details and eye candy.
