I had 4 student credit cards maxed out for like a year because I'd used them for extra capital during college and then didn't find a job immediately like I expected. Finally got a job in December so I could pay them off.
The thing is I always at least made the minimum payments so I think that was very important for my score's ability to bounce back. I had to get really creative some months without an income, like I liquidated a bunch of TF2/Csgo assets I had. --- https://imgur.com/gallery/dXDmJHw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75GL-BYZFfY ... Yup, getting rid of credit utilization will shoot you up real fast. Congrats on dropping the debt!

I remember going from like 450 to 650 in a few months after getting a job that paid fairly well after college. It turns out that paying your bills has a pretty large effect on your credit score
