Something is telling me this is going to be one of those movies where the critics hate it but the audience love it lol.

Wow they got the same actors as the original movies from the 80s. That's groundbreaking. It's never been done before in a reboot. They never do that. It's so original and amazing. Reboots of 80s movies never get the original actors back. It's so incredible that they got the same actors that were in the original movies from the 1980s to reprise their roles for the reboot. That's so exciting.

IIRC, it is more of a sequel than a reboot.

Wow a sequel to a movie from the 1980s that features some of the original cast. Incredible. So groundbreaking. Never seen that before. That's so new and exciting.

Honestly, when I saw the original Ghostbusters around age 22 last decade, I didn't like it. I have no interest for a sequel.

It's a sequel to the third canon movie in the series, what the hell are you complaining about here?

I'm just tired of nostalgiabaiting reboots and decades-after sequels. Maybe it's confirmation bias but it seems like every big movie that comes out in the past few years has been sold more on nostalgia than anything else.

They know Millenials love nostalgia. But yeah I get where you're coming from, I'm a sucker for nostalgia as well but Ghostbusters Afterlife was a movie that actively pissed me off because it's nostalgia wank actually made it a worst movie. Easter eggs are okay, but the moment your movie becomes "references/member berries" the movie...it just stops being an entertaining movie. With that said, I haven't heard anyone complain about Frozen Empire being a nostalgia movie, but simply a jumble mess of a movie with too many plot points happening at once for a 2hr movie (I guessing pacing issues?).

Fair enough, though I do think that's confirmation bias to some degree.
