Tyranthraxus 03/19/24 5:11:29 PM #1:	If you don't do the secret exit you get exactly two stages, Cheese Area Bridge and Cookie Mountain before the castle. There's Soda Lake accessible from Cheese Area Bridge but that takes you to the star road and not to the castle. The secret exit of vanilla dome takes you to more vanilla. Vanilla secret 2 and 3 lead you to the vanilla fortress. Once you're officially out of vanilla, aka "world 3" you can go back to whatever the fuck world 4 is. Which is once again 2 stages, butter bridge 1 & 2. No secret exits in either, and then you get sent to the castle. SMW has a lot of secret exits, but its obviously possible to play through the game without knowing about them. But that world teaches you how they work.
