Big backstory dump for Dragona and Jodio, good shit. Outright confirms that Dragona is MtF transgender (including changing her name) but for some reason Jodio's still being weird about pronouns.

I can't help but think it would be really interesting if Jodio somehow turns out to actually be this part's main antagonist, since he's definitely very ruthless and bloodthirsty. There's definitely more Dio to him than Jo. But I still feel like at some point Meryl Mei is going to have a Valentine-esque glow-up and become the Big Bad, she still gives me bad vibes for some reason. Although now Howler has entered the ring as a potential main villain as well.

Still running with the theory that this is set in the 1-6 timeline, due to Rohan's presence and the fact that the character seems completely unchanged and not an "alternate" version in any way. Charmingman's entire story with his brother makes me think that the lava tubes might be directly connected with the wall eyes, and Mauka might now be in the 7-8 timeline. That could be why Howler bought up the entire area, too.

I wonder if Dragona just goes by male pronouns still. I don't think Jodio would be misgendering them on purpose unless Dragona was still fine with it.

It is not 1-6 timeline

Jodio and Dragon are related to Josuke from part 8 and by extension Johnny from part 7

Also there is nothing there that confirms Dragona is mtf unless I skimmed something over and it would contradict this.

Original timeline Rohan probably wouldn't have fallen for the same trick that he pulled on Cheap Trick's original owner Kinoto lol.
Also interesting chapter. I wonder if the bus kid who tried to stand up for Dragona will show up later. He was also on the flaming bus so Jodio didn't spare him unless Jodio intentionally tried to keep the flames away from him. Parrot stopped Jodio from being a school mass murderer lol.
Meryl Mei is getting interesting. I think she's Main Villain material too but damn she'd have been employing/mentoring the Joestar siblings for 4 years at this point now. That's more than a quarter of Jodio's lifespan. I thought it'd be more recent.

This is like the second time Araki shows Dragona getting sexually assaulted and I'm not sure how to feel about that. Like I get that this is a backstory, but come on. I really hope this doesn't become a norm representing Dragona like this, she deserves better but at least her stand power is very unique. Anyways interesting chapter all around. I'm loving this pivot more towards heist genre, even though it will eventually just pivot back to being a battle shonen.
