A ham sandwich would have been a better president than Trump. Literal dogshit in a burning paper bag would have been a better president than Trump. Trump's (hopefully only) term in office lowered the bar so goddamned much that most other people on this dying mud-ball would be an improvement.

Would he have been "good" probably not, would he have been better than Trump, obviously yes.

I don't think Jobs would actually call Nazis "very fine people" or tell people to drink blench, or try to outright destroy democracy.

For things like handling the onset of COVID, I think he would have likely been immensely better for the country.

For things like corporate greed, I think he would have been much more effective in advancing the interests of corporations. He also seems like he's smart enough to keep himself out of scandals so his administration wouldn't have that weighing them down so much.

This is without knowing his political stances though. Like I'm not sure what his stances would have been on climate change and foreign affair relations. He being the CEO of Apple though makes me believe he'd be one of the greediest, most self-centered fuckers we could ever have as President. He probably thought there was no problem with companies having monopoly power and fucking over consumers because that seemed to be much his mission later in life.

Basically it's a question of how incompetent you like your evil to be. Trump's incompetency helped us coast by the skins of our teeth four years, but I can't see us having the stamina to withstand that again, and I think at that point, the damage done becomes irreversible.

Steve Jobs was kind of a very bad person, and was insanely cruel to his daughter, im not sure if he got better before he died.

Despite all that, i think most people could be better than him

It's because American politics is cancer.

Informing people that you don't like Donald Trump is a matter of principle and ethics, much more important than any other thing you could be doing (such as laughing at a joke), and you literally cannot afford to miss any opportunity.

Why do you always seem so upset when people speak negatively of Trump? Do you take it personally?

Well played. I almost bit.

I do believe I could share my thoughts without betraying my own sentiment, on grounds that it is not an obsession, but directly inquired of. But I know the crowd and it would be taken as hypocrisy in the name of ad hominem.

Steve Wozniak once told a story about how Jobs needed help on a job since he didn't have time. Woz agreed to do it, and Jobs said he'd give Woz half of the commission. Jobs gave him $375. Wozniak later found out the commission was for $5000.

...I think he would've been about the same. Except Covid. I think he would've been worse with that, due to how he reacted to his own health problems. No chemo, no surgery, nothing. Ignored it for nine months. He tried to fight it with health food and juice cleanses.

I mean, that route would likely still be better than the bleach injections that Donnie recommended, or the antiparasitic drugs in horse-sized dosages that his cult swore by (and which then gave them rope worms), if only because the bleach and ivermectin "cures" for COVID were just absolutely, self-destructively stupid, while health food and juice cleanses were a more normal level of stupid.
