tl;dr, they basically did 0 work. game is same. some parts are even worse. multiplayer doesn't work

but they are charging double price as you can still buy the old versions on steam and it costs less to buy both

to be fair they did increase the file size by an order of magnitude somehow. I guess that's some kind of work
