I really liked Major Dad (Gerald McRaney) in the third season. The third season kind of ended on a weird spot so I'm guessing they didn't know it was the last season. The majority of them I like a lot and this one was no exception. Its a damn shame this was only 3 seasons. I loved it from episode 1. The instant I saw he had been cast for a part in a single episode I thought "dude is gonna die, it's the only reason for him to be in the show". Also, anyone who thought the character who returned was actually dead despite having never died on screen was delusional. The way people reacted was as if he had spoiled the entire ending of the whole show. He was absolutely right to suggest that anyone who was that butthurt over the spoiling of a character that was expected to return returning needed to get a life. It was an absolutely silly thing for people to be that butt devastated over. As it relates to TC's original question, it took me about 4 episodes to get hooked.
