Subway are packed at certain times but other than that, manageable. I highly suggest going to other places if you want to see what Japan is really like. Still, have fun. Tokyo is still a fun place. Tattoos seems like they're looked down upon cuz I went to a communal bath a bunch of times and they had no tattoo signs everywhere, nor did I ever see anyone with any.
