Depends on the context, and this sort of thing should be discussed with your partner.

Incidentally, how would you feel if your girl was hanging out with another dude?

Im fine with that she has friends that are guys at her current work she hangs out with now, she can hang out with whoever she wants

Im not with her just to control who she can see thats ridiculous, but it seems its still a common thing to a lot of people still

Alright cool. A lot of people are hypocrites in that regard.

But yeah, this is a conversation between couples. I had an ex that was rather jealous of me talking to my female best friend. That one wasn't meant to be.

For me, going out to lunch during a work day is fine, but Id find it a bit odd for my partner to go out with a person of the opposite gender for dinner.

Thats just me though.

Depends on your intention.

If you have it in your mind you'll "see where it goes" and part of that is a romantic or sexual encounter and you have an exclusive agreement with your current GF- then yeah, you're cheating.

Emotional damage. You wouldn't want your girl grabbing a coffee at work with a strapping young chap at her place of work now wouldja.

Its cheating if your significant other says its cheating, if you feel they are being unreasonable, get a different significant other.

I don't think it's cheating but it's unfair to your partner if they don't want you to, because at the end of the day how is going out to have coffee or watching movies, etc any different from going on a date?

Tell your girl everything and see what she thinks.

It can be seen as cheating, but you obfuscating this from your partner is not a healthy look and means its even more likely to lead to cheating.

There's a lot of variables to this and I love it.

One could be she's being highly insecure and controlling and have trust issues or she's projecting and these are all red flags. Another is you should respect your s/o's feelings. Everyone here is a love and relationship expert, though so it'll be very fun to see what everyone will spew.

When it comes to cheating, it's a simple as "Would I be mad if they did this to me?" and if the answer is "Yes" then it's cheating.

But if the answer is "No" but to your S.O. the answer is "Yes", then you should immediately stop whatever it is and a conversation needs to happen.
