Would it be disrespectful for someone to take a name like Rashida (distaff version of Rashid, one of the 99 names of Allah) and change a letter or two to be unique?

In Christianity, I know it would be disrespectful if someone named their child Desus or Jeshush. But I know these things vary from culture to culture and religion to religion.

No. It would only be impermissible to add "Al" ("The") before the name, which would make it definite, if it was one of the 99 names, e.g., you can't say "Al-Rasheed". But if you had "Basheed" or "Al Basheed" I think it'd be fine. Basheed doesn't make any sense as far as I know, but it'd probably be fine. But I'm no scholar so don't take it from me.

Thank you very much.
