Anyway my immediate family is prob above average size in a developed country

Extended family is large. Tons of 1st and 2nd cousins ive never met.

family got expanded recently when my cousin took a 23 and me and visited some distant relatives in a country like thousands of miles away from our home country. i guess the origin of our last name is traced back to them. I doubt I'll ever meet them myself tho.

I feel like we're a pretty big family, yeah. I have 7 aunt's and uncle's and 10 cousins. And if you add in my cousin's partners and their children it adds another 11.

The extended family is huge though. We've got more family in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. We had a big family reunion about a decade ago and there was over 100 people. I don't remember most of them lol

Not really. I only have 2 other siblings. And only me and my sister have kids. My parents on the other hand both come from huge boomer families

my immediate family is pretty average, I have 4 other siblings which isn't really uncommon where I live.
my dads side of the family is huge. he's the youngest of 10 kids, and all of his siblings have between 4 and 8 children of their own....then some of my cousins also have kids or even grandkids (oldest cousin on my dads side is 64, my dad is 59 lol)
my moms side of the family is the complete opposite. she has a younger brother, and him and my aunt have only one kid.

Growing up, no.

Now? Yes. My wife and I have four kids plus three cats and three dogs.

Immediate family is just me, my brother,vans my parents.

As for my full family, it's pretty big. My mom had 6 siblings, and dad had 4. Each of which had multiple children(except 1 who just had a son). Most had around 4 children. So I've got like 40-50 first cousins, and way too many second cousins to count.

My grandparents had lots of siblings too, so quite a few great aunts and great uncles, but iirc only one is still alive.
