Did you like smaller cheaper sets of a flagship massive but expensive set?

I would like the large detailed sets if I could actually afford them but I live in the US so

I have to admit the $500 looks amazing. It is basically a MOC but made by Lego.

However....that is a lot of moolah. Gotta be really into Lego to buy it.

yes the price per piece is relatively average I believe so while $500 is pricey it is more or less the equivalent of 10 $50 sets or so

As someone who owns Rivendell and Orthanc and is hyped about the rumoured Barad-Dur set this year, Im all for the expensive adult aimed sets.

years ago I bought a bigger set the Batman Asylum to build and it took me like a day and a half, was exhausted

I like the bigger sets... While I haven't bought a $500 set yet (The Rivendell set looks cool but I know fuck all about LotR) I like to buy the Ideas sets often...

Also just bought all the new Animal Crossing Lego sets and all together they weren't even close to a $500 set thankfully lol...

My 10 year old nephew loves these "adult sets" and constantly asks for it on his birthday since he was 6 years old. I wish they weren't so expensive though lol.

They don't do anything and they're certainly not great decorations. I dunno. I stopped understanding this stuff when I crawled out of the sandbox.

I'm all for these adult sets. I just can't afford them though, so I'm jealous.

The adult wave. It caters to the fans that have been building since childhood. Ive got The Office set and the Hocus Pocus Sanderson Sisters House set. Saving up for the Rivendell set for sure.

Depends on the set and how much room you have in your house. They definitely make good decorations.

My mom does that actually... She usually buys all the flower sets when they release and has them around the house eas decorations...
