Jokerless is definitely the hardest, but Medusa and Double or Nothing also stood out to me as being really annoying. Medusa felt like an RNGfest while the strategy for DoN was counterintuitive to me.

Anything that affects money in the challenges is pretty easy imo. Well besides Cruelty, but Cruelty itself isn't really worse than some higher stakes normal runs.

Honestly I think it needs a little bit of progression, which could be turned off if you wanted.

As you unlock more Jokers, you make it ever more unlikely to find the joker that works best with a joker you currently have. Some unlocks like "start with +1,+2, +3 dollars" and "be able to visit the shop before the first round" or "start with a random common Joker" would make it more fun to try the higher chip difficulties.

Bought it a couple of days ago! Very fun, won with yellow/green decks and won with Abandoned because I got a Marble/Stone setup with Cavendish. I find that anything at Ante 10 or higher is probably going to be extremely difficult unless you have a particularly good/synergetic setup that's consistent and probably exploits card upgrades.

Ive now won at least once with every deck.

Erratic is super fun, especially if you reroll it a few times to get a setup you like.

Red Deck is pretty mid - Discards are nice and complement some Jokers (Banner) and hands (Flushes) well, but Blue Deck is probably easier to win with in general.

Try to get to 25 dollars as fast as possible while surviving the first ante or so, and use the interest after that to fuel your deck upgrades.

next time you lose a run (well really, the turn before you lose) screenshot your jokers

But other than that, some general tips:
1) try to keep your money above 25, or at the very least above 20, whenever possible for interest
2) get flat multiplier for early in the run but try to switch most of it out later for multiplicative multiplier
3) try to clear each blind in a single hand if it's even remotely possible. every hand you have leftover gives you money. every discard you have leftover does nothing. it is net positive to burn every single discard if it gets you from a 2 hand clear to a 1 hand clear

to elaborate on #3 a little bit, I just started up a new red deck game right now. this was my starting handhttps://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/0/000bef34.jpg

four of a kind and straight flush are near-impossible (not just with this hand, but in general) so you shouldn't rely on those. Which means to reach 300 points, you're looking at full house, flush, or straight. They're all x4 mult, which means you need 75 chips.

Full house is 40 base, so you need 35 more. This means if you have triple face card and any other pair except 2, you have enough. Or more likely you have something like 8*3 + 6*2 which is 36 and that's enough.

Flush is 35 base, which means you need 40 more. You need 5 cards that add up to 40. Sorta tricky but possible with a few facecards.

Straight is only 30 base so it's the hardest, you need 45 more which means it basically has to be a top-end straight.

So basically from here you want to pick one of those to do and just spam all your discards until you reach it. Personally I'd go with the clubs flush, not that I have any idea for sure which one is best because I'm not a math expert. But you should be able to just barely squeak past 300 in a single hand, and then if there's any sort of joker that gives mult or chips in the shop you can probably buy it and do the next 3-4 blinds also all in a single hand

My current best played hand.

https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/a/forum/6/65bf6e19.jpg

This scored 12,734,935,214.

I'm really annoyed that I got this run with the Painted Deck, though, which has one less joker slot to work with.

So I just installed it and played for like 10 min to see how the learning curve was.

The song is now stuck in my head and I can already feel how addicting it's going to be.
