XVI is more of an action rpg than a JRPG so you might like Remake a little better. They are both action-based but Remake also has elements closer to what you expect as well. XVI is basically full action.

I'm no authority, I only really play Final Fantasy anymore in terms of modern JRPGs.

Play XVI first, skip Remake entirely imo
Neither are really JRPGs in the traditional sense, though. I strongly recommend Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Dragon Quest XI if you haven't played those yet --- MZero, to the extreme https://www.twitch.tv/kabazame ... Copied to Clipboard!

I think? Like, the PS5 version should be Intergrade. The DLC code should be some trinkets and summon materia at most, which you can buy on PSN if you care. This is all because SE got very particular with who was entitled to a free PS5 upgrade and what was included for said people (Not the Yuffie episode).
