Highest I ever got was Cham, and I must have sunken thousands of hours into that game.

Lower kurast is the only method that ever worked for me, but you can only do it efficiently offline, and even then it's super boring.

to be clear ive found zod before, this is ladder, it's been online for 2 weeks only.

people actually claiming they've found 10 hrs in 2 weeks.

as Sub_Tank said--you could spend 1000 hours and not find a hr, so it's really not feasible.

It's quite easy to get rich on D2R without getting good drops now. Right now 7-10 Perfect Amethyst gems are worth an Ist. 30 PGems are worth a Mal. 12 Ist runes can land you a Jah or a Ber. Collect those gems and upgrade them.

Ral runes are worth a lot and they drop like candy too. 20 Ral runes = 1 Ist.

Holy shit guys Mosaic is the real deal and they're super duper cheap. I could prolly get anyone going with it.

A horker is also a great pathway to riches.

Just harvest a mountain of gold and gamble some gloves and ammys. Then check those shops for some good warcry sticks.

And if you can find some +6 skiller Javs you can retire.

anyway it's not exactly raining 80 rals a day and 72 pams a minute.

It's incredibly easier than hoping a high rune will drop for you. I'm just casually playing and grabbing and upgrading my gems.

I put a socket in the Shako, was gonna put an Um in it, but I put a ptopaz. honestly should have put a ral but i think i can get my fire res back to max somehow without that.

I played D2 when I was in high school but I only did non-ladder. and I was given a ton of items by friends. it was so much more fun than trying to do ladder every season when you knew people were running 24/7 bots anyway.

i only play ladder. that's where all the cool ppl are.

in the original D2 all the cool people with impossible-to-get items were on non ladder.

I miss fucking people up with a .08 WF. or scroll hacking from 5 screens away to kill campers outside the act 1 town. those were the good old days.

There botting and hacking still it seems but they're never public. I got all my stuff legit by trading and friends giving me stuff. You don't need to spend real money

A 5-5 Fire Facet just dropped for me and I traded it for this beauty.

Yeah the two advantages that SP has over online are static maps and player count setting. Running LK superchests with a static map on P7/P8 can net some crazy rune drops, as an example.

The downside is if you find something epic thats worth a bunch of HRs, cant trade it unfortunately.

But honestly with the SP changes theyve made like all runewords available as well as TZs, DClone and Ubers, I dont have much reason to play ladder anymore.

Naw I run Hell Travincal and then Hork them dead Councils. When I'm sick of that I do Hell Chaos runs with my Mosaic sin.
