Been sick for a few days; my partner was sick with similar symptoms and cleared up around the same time I started to feel unwell. We both tested negative for covid - I tested twice - using two different brands of RAT tests.

Symptoms are more consistent with covid than with cold or flu so that's why I'm wondering. Last I heard covid numbers were on an upward trend here, too. Tho I guess it could also just be something else altogether.

How's NZ doing on that front? I know Australia started off pretty well only to eventually and inevitably drop the ball. Western Australia held out for a long time though. Being the most isolated capital city in the world has its perks.

We pretty much followed Australia's (in particular NSW) trends, just a few months behind, last time I paid much attention to Australia (during the Delta / early Omicron days). Delta established itself here as an offshoot from NSW's outbreak in mid 2021. We dropped all remaining restrictions back in August, and have fairly good rates for the initial vax but not so great on boosters (and in all honesty, I never got around to 2nd booster or beyond; just the two initial shots and one booster. No objection to it, just never got around to it yet).
