Getting hit with Rheumatoid Arthritis just as I had thought things were going well. Started enjoying anime again, built up some pretty good savings, made really good progress on my video game project, things were supposed to be good again...

Now I just feel like shit all day even with these meds and going outside is even more anxiety inducing from being immunosuppressed

I know everyone is gonna come in with a personal story, but I had a major health scare a few years back and I lost all hope as well.

When those nagging negative thoughts start to spiral, it's tough.
If you can afford or have access to some therapy or a counselor or support group of some kind, I would say to take advantage of that.

I feel so defeated

i have cerebral palsy and scoliosis and i'm constantly in pain. i always play video games or keep active so i can ignore the pain better. when i worked at walmart i was not given a chair for accommodations so i had to stand for 5 hours all day. i was basically on the verge of crying all day and was in so much pain that i would sleep for 14 hours after work

i need to get a job that's less physically demanding because working at walmart was legitimately one of the most depressing moments of my life, and i feel like an idiot for saying that but the pain was just awful and my coworkers never assisted me when i needed help. my internalized ableism was at an all-time high

i really need to prioritize my happiness over getting a job that's easy to apply for. i thought i could be someone that could tolerate bad work for reasonable pay but i learned the hard way that i'm definitely not. i wish i could get a desk job or have some other simple pipedream job
