He brought up a valid question.

Going to a website that you and those who think like you approve of, doesn't mean it's not a bias website with arbitrary parameters to grade people.

Especially given so many are allergic to nuance and have a black and white mindset.

"If you don't 100% support my position exactly how I want to go about it, then you must support some absurd extreme position on the opposite spectrum." Sure you can grade them based on your personal parameters, but it's still valid to point out how are these people graded given everything mentioned above.

Why is it considered a negative to affirm Israel's right to exist...? I get that it's mostly performative, but Israel has a right to exist. And pointing it out as a negative only goes to bolster the viewpoint of people who think pro-palestine means wanting to eradicate Israel.

This, more or less. Israel isnt going anywhere and from the river to the sea!!! is a fairly extremist position. If thats what you decide to fight for and judge people by, well then youre doomed to lose and nobody is ever going to be good enough for you as the vast majority of non-fringe politicians with actual influence arent going to advocate for the dissolution of Israel. Its basically just you and other online leftists at that point. And we know the latter loves to not vote and act smug about it.

Makes sense to me. It also equated antizionism with antisemitism, and that was the reason one republican voted No.

So I don't think there's a way to have a positive bias without also having a negative bias.
