No. I've never liked the Star Trek movies as much as the series, but the Abrams movies I just didn't like at all. I don't remember exactly what so turned me off about them.

I enjoyed it at first. Roughly about the time they brought in the reboot's iteration of Khan was when I started to dislike even the first film, let alone the subsequent ones.

I enjoyed all of the abrams movies I saw when they were released, but i never watched any of them a second time.

At the time it felt like a soulless cash grab, and completely missed the essence of what makes Star Trek what it is.
In retrospect, my opinion of it has somewhat softened. I can somewhat enjoy it for what it is, and it at least has some entertainment value. The fact that it kept one of my favorite series alive is a good thing. Subsequent Star Trek movies and TV shows were pretty rocky though. I did like some of Strange New Worlds, and parts of Picard were okay, but I never actually finished it. --- Sign here. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I think the "Retcon" was kind of stupid (they could have just ignored it like The Dark Knight series and nothing would have been lost), and the visuals where way to bright and shiny. Otherwise it was fine. Never had a desire to watch the second or third movie though.
